FAQs

Are the clothes you offer in good condition?

We inspect each item carefully to ensure there are no major stains, pilling, tears etc, unless stated in PLAY condition.  We typically will not accept items of this nature from sellers. There may sometimes be very minor imperfections which will be disclosed listed in the product description.

We rate the items accordingly:

- New with tags (unworn)

- Excellent, like new (no visible wear)

- Very Good (normal wash wear which may include light pilling, or a small treated stain)

- Good (heavier wash wear/pilling)

- Play (visible stain, small holes etc. perfect for daycare/messy play)

Are the clothes pre-washed or allergen free?

We require sellers to provide clothes that are in clean condition. However, since this is a pre-loved site, Lil Cubs cannot guarantee that each item has been washed in free and clear detergent or come across any smoke or pets.  We highly recommend that you launder your items before wearing. Lil Cub's HQ is a pet/smoke free home!

How does the "HOLD" feature work?

We can hold paid orders, so you can place additional orders in the future to reach minimum shipping.  Simply type "HOLD" in the comment section when checking out. Click the option for local pickup to avoid shipping fee. Once you're ready and have reached $100 in orders, type "SHIP ORDER" in the comments and we will then combine and ship all your orders together!

I see items that are New with Tags. Why is that?

Many of these items come from sellers who's Lil Cub has outgrown the apparel before having the chance to wear it or perhaps they purchased the wrong size and can no longer return to the store.

Can you tell more about the charities you work with?

Sellers have the option to donate their Payout Amount and the clothes that are not purchased by Lil Cubs to non-profit organizations.  The two charities we have partnered with is South Riverdale Child Parent Centre (SRCPC) and New Circles.

The SRCPC is a haven for parents, caregivers and children to play, learn and grow. Babies and young children are given the opportunity to interact and play with a variety of age-appropriate toys, and parents are supported by the staff in learning new parenting skills.

New Circles ensure that local families struggling with poverty can meet their basic need for adequate clothing. They operate the largest clothing bank in Toronto under the name of GLOW (Gently Loved Outfits to Wear), designed to offer a retail shopping experience that preserves dignity for clients.
